Soak off or file off?

Both acetone and electric nail file can be used to remove the previous stylization and prepare the nail plate for a new manicure. The purpose of acetone is to dissolve the mass. Most often, we use it to remove gel polish and acrylic. We cannot use acetone for styling made with the gel method. The biggest disadvantage of this method is its time consumption. Besides, if the customer comes to you for the first time and you are dealing with an unknown product that may be insoluble, you only waste your time. The material will remain on the nail plate. The mass must have the consistency of jellybean, then it should be gently pushed, e.g. with a cuticle pusher, but it is still a long-term process. If we take it off too early, we can damage the nail plate. The electric nail file is an alternative to acetone dissolution. Using the electric nail file, we can get rid of the previous styling much quicker, gradually filing it off the nail. Of course, working with an electric nail file requires the right skills. Quick, easy, but pleasant?

Acetone is known almost to everyone. What is the easiest way to recognize it? After a very characteristic, irritating smell. Therefore, the use of acetone is not the most pleasant. It is also worth mentioning that regular use of acetone for removal of styling causes nail plate to dry. Over time, this can lead to split ends and greater susceptibility to mechanical damage. Acetone should, therefore, be treated as an alternative to electric nail file rather than the other way around. If someone does not know how to remove the mass from the nail using bits properly, then they should stay with the dissolving preparations. Of course, until you register for the appropriate training.
